RELEASE: June 11, 2010
Stratford, Connecticut Business
Executive Named to Board of National
Barter Association
Sharon Connelly, Vice President of
Exchange Enterprises, Ltd., a commercial
trade exchange headquartered in
Stratford, Connecticut, was recently
named to the Board of Directors of NATE,
the National Association of Trade
Exchanges, at its annual convention held
in New Orleans earlier this month.
Ms. Connelly is a 13-year veteran of
the commercial barter or trade business,
beginning with Exchange Enterprises in
1997 when it was located in Norwalk,
Connecticut. Today she is responsible
for overseeing all daily operations of
that company as it assists its
membership, composed of small and
medium-sized area businesses, in trading
with each other.
"I'm truly honored to have been named
to this Board by my peers in the barter
industry," said Ms. Connelly, "NATE is a
critical part of our daily business at
Exchange Enterprises. Through it, the
connections we make with other trade
exchanges across the nation benefit our
own member businesses here in
Connecticut because it increases their
trading opportunities beyond our
immediate region. It's a wonderful
association and I look forward to
contributing."

About The National Association of Trade
Exchanges (NATE) -
The National
Association of Trade Exchanges (NATE) is
a worldwide industry organization for
independent retail barter exchange
networks that combine to share
experiences and resources, and to create
an environment where entrepreneurship
and free enterprise flourish.
In order to
facilitate trade among its exchanges
NATE operates the BANC (Barter
Association National Currency) which
utilizes a universal unit of currency,
thereby enabling a member trade exchange
from one geographic region to easily
trade with another member exchange
anywhere else. In this way each is no
longer limited to trading just within
its own locale.
NATE
also promotes good trading practices by
establishing a code of professional
ethics for all its members. For more
